Aston Villa have the chance to sign more players in the January transfer window
Aston Villa are ‘interested in Besiktas attacker Semih Kılıçsoy, according to CaughtOffside. The report claims fellow Premier League sides Fulham and Nottingham Forest are also admirers, along with European teams Stuttgart, AS Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and Ajax.
Unai Emery could see the Turkey international as someone who would bolster his attacking department. He penned a four-year deal with his current club back in January so they are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come in for him to consider letting him go.
Kılıçsoy, who is 19-years-old, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and would be a useful long-term addition for Aston Villa if they were able to land him this winter. He has made three caps for his country to date.
The forward penned his first professional deal with the Turkish Super Lig outfit back in 2021. He then made his first-team debut a couple of years later in a league fixture against Antalyaspor.
Kılıçsoy hasn’t looked back since and has become one of their most prized assets. He has made 45 appearances in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 12 goals and five assists.
Besiktas could face a battle to keep hold of him over the next couple of windows with Aston Villa mentioned as a potential suitor. Emery’s side may need to bat away competition from elsewhere for his services though. The player is valued at £10million on Transfermarkt.
