Shilo Sanders has signed with the Denver Broncos

Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado quarterback and son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, experienced a surprising fall in the 2025 NFL Draft, being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round with the 144th overall pick.

This was a significant drop from earlier projections, which had him as a potential first-round pick. Despite the unexpected slide, Sanders remained composed and positive.

He shared a simple yet heartfelt message on social media: “Thank you GOD.”

Leading up to the draft, Sanders had expressed confidence in his abilities and readiness for the NFL. He had previously stated, “I’m built for whatever today may bring,” indicating his preparedness for any outcome.

His selection by the Browns places him in a competitive quarterback room, joining Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. While his draft position was lower than anticipated, Sanders’ talent and determination suggest he has the potential to make a significant impact in the NFL.
