Danny Murphy reckons one Man City player is going to get dropped for his country.
Manchester City have seen many players from their squad take part in the recent round of Nations League matches.
Prior to that, City had more players (14) picked to go to the 2024 European Championship over the summer than any other side in the Premier League. With the Manchester club now set to see their squad get back together for their upcoming fixtures, one pundit and former top-flight star has made a claim about one particular figure in Pep Guardiolaās ranks and what the future could hold for him in his international team. Danny Murphy claims Jack Grealish will get dropped for England
After seeing Jack Grealish start both of Englandās recent 2-0 Nations League victories against Ireland and Finland, Danny Murphy had this to say about the City star in a recent video shared on the talkSPORT YouTube channel.
He said: āHe has done well, heās done well in the games but when everyone is fit he wonāt play.
āHeās a talent, I really like him, heās got loads of qualities that I love. Takes the ball, heās as strong as an ox, you canāt get the ball [off him] when he dribbles.

After not being included in Englandās squad for the Euros, Grealish was called up by Lee Carsley in the most recent Three Lions squad, which didnāt include the likes of Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham or Cole Palmer to name a few.
Scoring in the 2-0 win over Ireland, the 29-year-old then completed the full 90 minutes in the recent win over Finland.
Interestingly, Grealish played both of these games in an attacking-midfield role rather than in the left-wing positions he predominantly plays for City. After the Ireland game, Carsley said that Grealish doesnāt have anything to prove to the current England coaching staff about his quality, despite not being picked by Gareth Southgate for the Euros.
Having made the most of these two chances to shine on the international stage again, itāll be interesting to see how the City star fares in terms of getting into an England team that has all of its usual players in the squad again. Manchester City have played their part in some of the biggest transfers in the history of the Premier League and world football.
Ever since Sheik Mansour bought the club in 2008, Manchester City have been one of the richest football clubs in the world, capable of providing their managers with a near-unlimited transfer budget.Though City also have a fantastic academy system that is producing incredible talent, heavy spending in the transfer market is often required to enhance the first-team squad.
Millions have been spent on Pep Guardiolaās team and he has won a lot of trophies in return, with many of the signings going on to become legends.
The summer transfer window of 2024 was actually a cheap one, with Savinho being the only player the club spent money on, but there has been a long list of big-money moves over the yearsā¦
